Small Works for a Big Cause

Miriam Jacobs and Stefanie Siverman are two of the many local artists who are joining together for a fundraiser in support of Haiti earthquake relief. Small Works for a Big Cause will take place on Sunday, January 31, from 2 to 5 pm at Brassworks, 105 Grove Street in Montclair (between Walnut Street and Willard Place, behind Town Auto Body). Over 100 artworks, 12 x 12 inches or smaller, will be sold for a minimum $50 contribution each. All proceeds will be given to the Haiti earthquake relief organizations Partners in Health, Doctors Without Borders, and the Red Cross. More info about Brassworks is here.

Update: The event was a huge success, with hundreds of people attending, and $35,000 raised!

Suburban Sky Holiday Event

Stefanie is excited to be participating in Suburban Sky’s next warehouse/sample sale event, which will benefit the Northern New Jersey Maternal/Child Health Consortium. Her painting “Highland Avenue with Blue Sky” is in the silent auction, and her note cards and art will be on sale as well. The event will take place at the Bobbi Brown Studio, 10 Lackawanna Plaza in Montclair. Hours are Thursday Dec. 3, 5 to 8 pm (with wine and treats!), Friday, Dec. 4, 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday, Dec. 5, 10 am to 5 pm. Hope you can stop by and shop for a good cause!

Earrings for Breast Health

Plum artist Anne Sailer is truly honored to have been asked to create an exclusive earring design for the Montclair Breast Center, a nationally-recognized team focused on sustaining and advancing breast health. The Montclair Breast Center sells jewelry and art objects and donates all of the profits to the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC). Anne designed the earrings (see below) with the intention of supporting their mission and supporting breast health across the nation and around the world. These earrings are available for sale at the Montclair Breast Center and through Anne’s Etsy store (annesailer.etsy.com). Like the Montclair Breast Center, she will donate all of the profits from the sales of these earrings to the Center’s chosen not-for-profit organizations.
